The more sequencing functionality the better! I hope there are more keyboard shortcuts too… too much mouse clicking in 3.

Reason 4′s sequencer windows have some much needed additions that some people found a little off-putting at first, but most have grown to love the increased functionality.

Thor is also an AMAZING addition to R4.

I haven’t broke into Reason 4 yet either. I do plan on making the jump as soon as I get my new computer. Looks like a ton of improvements to the MIDI sequencer in R4.

Reason is my WMD as well.

I’m still on Reason 3 though, I haven’t even touched Reason 4 yet.

Very true. Now that MIDI is widely computerized, it’s much more accessible.

And yes – Reason is perfect for making the transition.

For those that are just getting started with Reason: Just hit TAB to view the back side of your virtual hardware rack. Cables, ins, outs, everything!

While I sometimes get nostalgic for my old racks of outboard gear, the noise, heat and dust are not missed. Nor is running MIDI cables through each unit and making sure it all works.

I too use Reason, with Live as my DAW.

Things are a lot simpler than they used to be, and if you are a long time hardware enthusiast who went through MIDI…moving to Reason especially will seem very familiar to you.
