If I see it that way, I don't have to record it perfectly. It takes away the preasure and makes the creativity flow. In the past I have spent half a year on recording one song, now I make 25 in the same amount of time. Though I have a computer I record on a small Micro BR making my songs.(there are better gear) I think that if I spend more time making songs than recording them I'm on the right track. Like with filmmaking. Whenever I try to get into the position of being faced with so many options and features I know will provide me endless fascination but at the same time I am aware will render me trapped. What I usually do is familiarize all the categories and menus of the program that I'll be using, then kind of put into my mind that the features are finite and all the things I do about my film are entirely based on the fact that it's the only decision I can make.
